Christmas Cards Bonanza!

Here are a few that I made this weekend

- more later!

Birdthay Card for a friend

Here's a quick card I made - I've been making lots of Christmas cards recently and I was exhausted, so I made this one quickly using my Cuttlebug and a Spellbinders die.

Birthday Card from a guy in love!

A friend asked me to make this card for his wife for her birthday. I found the inspiration online - I'm so sorry, I can't remember where! I had the paper around for some time - and it just seems perfect for this card. The charm adds just the right amount of bling!

Bride and Groom Favour Bags

I've been a bit obsessed with gift bags and favour bags recently! I've found so many great templates online. I created these two as possibilities for a wedding - one type for the guys and one type for the gals!

Bridal Shower Gift Bag

Here's a gift bag I made recently for a bridal shower. I used my "A Rose is a Rose" stamp set from Stampin' Up.

Apologies if the photo is a bit out of focus. I guess I need steadier hands!

Karate Thank You

My Karate Club held a summer camp over the past couple of weeks and we needed a thank you card for someone who helped us a lot by acting as out rugby coach. Here's what I came up with. I printed the image from my computer's Clip Art, and I added some interest by cutting out the image using my Nestabilities dies. I also created some texture with one of my Cuttlebug embossing folders. Inside I added a picture of the kids as a reminder for the coach.

Hand made paper flower

I'm always looking for inspiration on the web - I was thrilled when I came across a tutorial for making this flower on You Tube. It was created by Jen Lowe of Jen Lowe Designs. Here's the link in case you want to learn how.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wq13kni7eBA

Anniversary Card

This one is special - for a friend who is celebrating his second anniversary - he wanted something nice for his wife. I was stumped - and finally got some inspiration from Amy Sheffer at Pickled Paper Designs - I love her stuff! Here is the link to her blog

Graduation Season

It's graduation season! I made this card using the Cricut, Cuttlebug to add texture to the background - and some dimensional stickers.

Sympathy Card

A simple card - but I thought it was just right for the occasion. I've been making a lot of over sized cards recently - it gives me more room to play with the designs. This one measures 6X8 inches. I cut out the sentiment with my Cricut, and that's a dough calla lily to complete the front. It comes in a matching gift box to protect the delicate flower on the front.

I'm back! Finally!

It's been a while - I've been back to work and just haven't had the time to be on my blog. But I've been making some projects that I'd like to share.
This is a thank you card I made for someone. I did it using my Cuttlebug and Nestbilities dies - some pretty patterned paper I had lying around and a pink ribbon. And of course a few pearls to add some pizzaz!

Anniversary Booklet

I did this one for a friend's in-laws. It was a bit difficult to shoot one page at a time because it's bound at the top, so we shot two pages at a time.

Wedding Invitations

A friend of mine recruited me to make the invitations for her son's wedding. I did a few samples for them to choose from. I love them all - I'll let you know which one they eventually choose....

Pink and green birthday card

Here's a simple card I made recently. I had the pink and green ribbon for ages, so when a friend of mine asked me to make a card using pink and green, I knew it wasd the right time to break out my unused ribbon. I used my Cuttlebug swiss dot folder to add texture to front of the card, which I cut out using Nestabilities labels die. I added some bling with Stickles on the Happy Birthday sentiment. The papers are from my collection.

Love in Bloom

Here's a sparkly wedding card I was experimenting with - I used embossing with pigment powders, Stickles to add a bit of sparkle to flowers and butterflies I cut out using some of my craft punches, and of course lots of jewels and pearls. I wanted to create the effect of cascading blossoms in a garden. The sentiment is stamped in gold from See-Ds that I've had for a long time, but never tried.

Another one!

I also borrowed from Crafter's Kitchen for the background paper for this one. Love those papers! The blossom is another freebie - this time from "Fred She said" - lovely isn't it? The "Mom" is cut using my Cricut - I added a bit of ribbon as well for some drama. Card is oversized as well - 6X8 - a new size for me. I love working with this size - of course it comes with a gift box to protect it.

Mother's Day

Almost time to go back to work - been off for a while getting some rest. I'm using my last few hours making a few last minute Mother's Day cards. Here's one I did using Jak Heath's instructions for handmade, hand-painted flowers on her blog "Crafter's Kitchen". Thanks a million! It worked brilliantly. I increased the size of the flower and the oversized bloom is quite dramatic - paper and sentiment from a selection I was just waiting to use.

Celebratory card for someone expecting twins

This is a card for someone who's having twins. It's all Cricut. Found the images on Stretch Your Imagination cartrigde. I wanted to so something special for the packing, so I made a gift box - got that image from my new Lyrical Letters cartridge, which I just got last week.

Wedding Day Card

A young couple I know are getting married soon - the day after my anniversary, actually! Their colour scheme is blue and orange, so I decided I would make this card using their scheme. They also used a tiger lily as their theme on their invitations, which I helped them make, so I made a tiger lily blossom from scratch - from a template I created freehand - and decorated with lots of Stickles. The background papers are called Marrakesh Vines by Bo Bunny and WorldWin translucent vellum in papaya, both of which I got at scrapbook.com.

For you, Mom

I used some flowers from Prima Marketing to add to this one. Cut the word "mom' using the Cricut and then embellished with pigment powder. Cuttlebug butterfly always comes in handy. Love the colour.

Mother's Day Card for a stepmom

Another friend asked me to make something for her stepmom for Mothers Day so here's what came up with

Mother's day is for Grannys too

I love shimmery stuff - I used an iridescent pigment powder to emboss the background. I cut my embellishments with the Cricut and embossed them too - with the Stampin Up heat and stick, and with the shimmery pigment powder. A Cuttlebug butterfly added a little flair. I put it into a gift box that I made using my Crafter's Companion - a Sticker King sentiment and it was good to go. Hope my friend's Granny likes it.

Mother's Day is almost here!

Here are a couple of Mother's Day cards I put together this week. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss and znestabilities to cut teh shapes for the sentiments. I also used my trusty Hero Arts stamp for the background for the first one - a little butterfly punch I had forgotten about - and lots of Stickles! I love Stickles!

Wedding card in blue

Yet another wedding card - This time I tried a bit of heat embossing. Stampin Up has this great heat and stick powder that I used with Pearl Ex pigments to great the sentiment on the front of the card. Then I embellised with a paper flower from Paper Source.

Got to buy all my supplies online - not a single decent craft store to be found in Barbados!
It's get's expensive - and challenging when you don't have a local Michael's to run out to to replenish you supplies!

Here's the inside of the card - I use all my scraps to make the insides pretty as well.

Marriage advice for the bride - quite a project!

These next photos are from a booklet I made for a friend's niece who's getting married soon. I told you it was wedding season in Barbados!
I started out making a card, but I had so much stuff I wanted to use, that I ended up making a booklet. I ended up using something from pretty much all my stuff - Cuttlebug, Cricut, rubber stamps stickers by Jolees - tons of stuff. I took me a few days to do, but I loved it!
And most importantly, they did too!

Here are two pages combining stickers, and image from Clipart and rubberstamping.

Love these pages - I thought those sentiments were so funny!
